That Heads Up (part 2) I Promised!

Here we go!

Tomorrow, on the 26th of April, I'll be taking over the Dreamspinner Press-blog to do a little thing for my latest releases and maybe even give you hints of the next bigger project I have and other things to come this summer.

I'll be running a contest too, with some neat prizes including my books, a gift card to the Dreamspinner Store (or AllRomanceEbooks if you'd prefer that), a special package from yours truly and so on and so forth.. You just better come by and see what's up for grabs!

I know it's a short notice, so if you see this after the 26th, don't worry, you can still go back to the blog and read how you can enter the contest as long as you get there before the 29th.

Let The Games Begin! (and the odds, and all that ;))

Heads Up!

Okay, since I have so many stories coming up like right now or soon, I'm planning on holding a little contest this spring.

Actually it might be a big contest, since it will have some nice prizes, after all. And I totally mean nice on my scale. I'm talking about free ebooks of my three releases (Lucky, Something New, and Thank My Lucky Scars), maybe a small gift card for an eBook store of your choice, some swag... That sort of thing.

So, keep your eyes glued to this space, people! Soon enough you'll have some information and possibly some neat prizes!

That said, Something New is out today and you can already find it from the Dreamspinner Press store and at least All Romance Ebooks and later from Amazon and all the other places DSP novellas usually are sold.

Upcoming release and the rest of my schedule

Hello, everyone. It's now early March, and I'm looking at the release schedule I have and the personal deadlines that are looming and I thought I'd give you an update.

My next release will be out on March 28th. It's called Something New, and I really do love this story. I hope you'll like it too. In some ways, Something New manages to catch many things about my personal writing style and my "secret agenda" in my writing. That's why I'm so happy with it, really. Oh and the cover by Catt Ford is really lovely too.

After Something New, the next one in my preliminary list of things to come is a little story called Thank My Lucky Scars. It's also a novella and revolves around a London bike-messenger and an American porn star. It's a fun little story, so I'm looking forward to it as well. Tentative release is April-May.

Now, the book after the two aforementioned is called Chuffed. It's a shifter-book, the first book in a several books-series I've titled Finnshifters. The story arc revolves around a sort of "shifter sanctuary" in Eastern Finland near the Russian border, and the shifters who live on the little farm. There's always at least one main couple, and while the books are M/M romance, the stories are as much about the whole "farm family" as they are any given main couple.

Chuffed should be out in May-June, and I have a submission deadline in about a week for book 2 which doesn't have a title yet. While the book is already almost done, I'm still feeling slight pressure from the deadline I've set myself (so that you guys would have the next part to read in a few months time from the release of the first book, see, I'm thinking about you here!)

My next novel-length story is a vampire-story I've felt like writing for a long time. It's called Technically Dead and it's going to be released in July-August. I'll tell you more about it later.

Once I have Finnshifters 2 written and sent, I need to figure out what to write next. I feel like writing a few separate stories but I also know I need to concentrate on one. So I'll figure that out soon, since after all I should be done with the current story in a week. Ugh. Well, here's to making my deadline and for a nice springtime for everyone!

This was a long time coming - personal rant that needs to get out

This is just something I had to get off my chest a long time ago (but only got to it today), so feel free to skip it if ranting about personal issues is something you're not interested in. Thanks. :)

The Acid Tests (an article about BDSM and finding a good top)

First of all, this is not mine. I found it from FetLife.com, where the original writer had posted it. It's been published before in various places and translated to a couple of languages, but it resonated with me (for multiple reasons) and it is, sadly, a good reminder for everyone.

So whether you're on the kinky side or just write kink, or you're just interested, check out this great article The Acid Tests (Sorting real Tops from fakers) by Michael Winans. It's bound to give you something to think about, and maybe it will save you from trouble whether it's blocking that annoying online guy that messes with you or figuring out how your Dom character should act in your writing.

Oh, and if you want to share this article, just remember to keep the original writer's name attached, thanks. And sorry about the super long post, jump break (the read more-function) doesn't seem to be working. :)

Release day!!

So, today on January 25th, my new short story Lucky will be available from Dreamspinner Press.

Here's the blurb and a link for you.
Sloane would've given anything to have been born with the right body, but he hadn't. He’d have given anything to have his family back, but his father insisted that until Sloane was ready to become his heterosexual daughter again, he wanted nothing to do with him. So Sloane dealt with the challenges of living transgendered as best he could. Luckily, his best friend Jace was there with him every step of the way. Jace is the best man Sloane has ever met, but Jace is gay and Sloane still doesn’t have the right parts – until Jace proves that he loves Sloane just the way he is.

As you can tell, this is a story about a transgender main character. It's a intimate little love story and above all, a story about finding acceptance.

I will be doing a little giveaway of this story at some point, so keep your eyes open. :) I've been blogging about it elsewhere, so just wait, there will be links for that too at some point.

I hope you enjoy this little story. :)
